Weight control at the end of the day is all about balance and it's the balance of the types of food, the quantity you eat and exercise levels which is reflected in your weight and overall health.
Let’s start with the worst!

Use the Stairs
Using the stairs instead of the lift at every opportunity can help you burn extra calories. It may not seem like a lot but it adds up and over a year you won’t even know you’re doing it.

Park further away from work and walk the last bit.
If it’s only at the far side of the car park, top deck of the multi-storey or just the next street away. Remember every little helps. Oh yes, this also applies to supermarket car parks too!

Cut out bad things
Cut out fizzy drinks
If you do nothing else, cut out fizzy drinks. Instead drink fruit juice or just stick with water.

Cut out alcoholic drinks
Unfortunately alcoholic drinks are packed with calories. Remember your goal is to lose weight fast and easily - and too much alcohol will hold you back.

Drink Water Before You Eat
Drinking water before you eat will fill you up so you don't feel so hungry and so won’t eat as much. You will find that you can't eat as much as you would have normally and the dessert will be less tempting.

Eat Slowly
As it takes some time for your brain to receive the message that your stomach is full, if you eat slower you'll give your body time to realise that you've eaten enough and consequently you'll eat less.

Don't Eat Everything on Your Plate
We tend to eat everything on our plates - and maybe the juicier morsels on our kids plates too, so as not to waste anything. Learn better portion control so that you do not waste food by preparing too much.

Eat regular small meals
The most important meal is breakfast, so don’t miss it out during your early morning rush.
I suggest you eat small amounts five times a day so you will not feel hungry at your next meal time and so will eat less.
